Adult Families

Please Note: I offer systemic family therapy for adult families (18+). I do not offer services for children.

Ever feel like you can’t get out of childhood roles with your adult siblings, or that your parents still relate to a version of you that’s outdated? For many queer folks, family relationships can be the most difficult of all. Adult family therapy is a chance for you and your family members to look back, inventory your experiences together, then repair and reorganize your relationships to fit your adult lives.

Content regularly addressed in these sessions include:

  • Navigating neurotypes in the family system

  • Impacts of historic alcohol/drug use

  • Birth order and sibling dynamics

  • Pregnancy, abortions, stillbirth & postpartum

  • Life cycle transitions including child loss, sibling loss, parental loss, and grief/bereavement

  • Intergenerational traumas, including forced migration, climate chaos, and assimilation

  • Processing whiteness, including culture loss, identity issues, and belonging

  • And so much more.
